Write a rule, not a wish
The prompt that works here is a constraint: every sound comes from one synth, no drums until the halfway mark, only textures above a whisper. Rules give the generator something to push against.

Rules are inputs — the AI Experimental Electronic Music Generator
For sound designers and curious ears: the AI Experimental Electronic Music Generator builds tracks from constraints — one synth mangled nine ways, drums that only enter at the halfway mark, harmony that refuses to resolve. The measure of a good take is not polish; it is whether you would never have thought of it.
Order the texture kit
The AI Experimental Electronic Music Generator responds better to named textures than to genre labels: granular clouds, bit-crushed drums, tape stops, feedback blooms, a field recording drowned in reverb. Pick two or three, not five.
Choose drift or architecture
Decide upfront whether the piece wanders — drone, soundscape — or assembles — glitch, IDM. Saying which keeps the take from sitting unhappily between the two.
Keep the surprises, fix the duds
Treat generations like sketches: keep the twenty seconds that startle you, rerun the stretches that drift into wallpaper. Experimental does not mean unlistenable — contrast needs an anchor.
How do I prompt the AI Experimental Electronic Music Generator without getting random noise?
Constraint plus anchor: name a rule such as "all sounds from one mangled synth," a texture like granular or bit-crushed, and one steady element — a pulse, a pedal tone — for the ear to hold. The rule gives the piece character; the anchor keeps it music.
How is experimental electronic different from just noisy?
Intention you can hear: the strange sounds relate to each other, and the arrangement makes choices — things enter, leave, and return changed. If every second is equally strange, nothing is; regenerate with fewer ideas and one anchor.
