Riff first, anthem second

From riff to anthem — full-band rock from the Rock Music Generator

Describe the guitars, the dynamic plan, and the kind of voice out front, and the Rock Music Generator returns wide, live-sounding tracks — quiet verses, big choruses, drums that hit like a room. Paste your own lyrics to front the band, and compare takes by how hard the chorus lands.

01

Describe the guitars and the plan

Riff-driven or chord-driven, clean verse into distorted chorus, single-note leads or power chords — the dynamic plan decides whether the chorus explodes or just gets louder. Set the tempo between 110 and 140 BPM.

02

Write lyrics that front the band

Verses tell it, choruses shout it. In Own lyrics, keep chorus lines short and vowel-heavy so the hook can be held, and let the verse carry the story the chorus summarizes.

03

Judge the chorus lift

The take that works is the one where the chorus genuinely opens — drums double, guitars widen, the vocal steps up. Compare both versions at volume; rock rewards the first impression.

04

Try the song in other rock rooms

Rerun toward arena, pop-rock sheen, southern grit, or a rawer indie take. The riff that still sounds like a riff in all four rooms is the single.

What belongs in a rock prompt for the Rock Music Generator?

Guitar character, drum feel, and the dynamic plan: "driving rock, 126 BPM, palm-muted verse, open distorted chorus, live room drums, raspy male vocal, guitar solo after the second chorus." Rock is arrangement music — the more of the plan you describe, the more it sounds like a band.

How do you judge a generated rock track?

By dynamics and weight. The verse should pull back enough for the chorus to land as a release, the drums should sound like a person, and the guitars should chug and ring in the right places. If the whole track is loud, nothing is.

Verse and chorus drafted?

Finish the lyric in Lyrics Studio — short chorus lines, long held vowels — then bring it to the band.
